Traffic Control

Under PA Title 75 The Pennsylvania Vehicle Code a Constable is empowered and authorized to direct traffic. If you are having an event that you feel needs traffic control to assist vehicles in safely arriving, departing, or pedestrians crossing a roadway you may need the services of someone that is authorized by law to direct traffic. Title 75 § 3102.  Obedience to authorized persons directing traffic.

No person shall willfully fail or refuse to comply with any lawful order or direction of:

1. any uniformed police officer, sheriff or constable or, in an emergency, a  railroad or street railway police officer;
